So I am finally here! But not before a long twenty straight hours of traveling!
Hightlight of the last twenty-four hours:
1. Trying to put my backpack in the overhead compartment, and instead it falling on my face.
2. Having a blanket on the airplane that was thinner than a sheet of paper.
3. Getting to Madrid and having to take a bus to a subway to another bus.
-going down the wrong sets of stairs and having to go back up them.....with my 70 pound suitcase, my 30 pound backpack, and my 20 pound purse.
4. The bus ride to Granada being five hours long!!
-I got to watch mama Mia in spanish, however the songs were in English, weird.
5. Then we met our señora-marieta! She is really great so far. We also met her mother and her daughter lives in the house too but she is snowboarding with her dad until tomorrow.
6. Then we explored granada, it's so beautiful and there are always so many people on the streets.
7. We came home for dinner at 8 (dinner is at 845) and we had a real spanish tortilla and it was DELiSH!

ReplyDeleteSo glad you arrived. Do they live in town or a countryside? How old is Marieta? Can't wait for pictures. Try to collect some recipes!
ReplyDeletegranada is a city. there arent any big buildings or anyhitng though.. but on the way down here.. it was only countryside. i would say that marieta is 45ish. And yes. i will definitely bring back recipes!!
